Changing times???

I really wonder many a times whether we have entered into the 21st century?
What makes us broad minded?

I have been out on a groom-hunting spree(that is what I call it as). I have met parents and I have met guys. But everytime I have found the same situations arising and often wondered whether we have actually entered into the 21st century.

One day the guy I met wanted his wife to be the most ideal one. One who shares his views and one who follows them also. She should be good professionally and should be an expert at home as well. I was many a times pretty surprised by the views he expressed regarding dealing with problems as well as the relationship with his wife. Needless to say, this dint work.. But it left me wondering at the marriage system that we have made in our society.

Since childhood, we have seen situations where a man is the bread earner. After that, there came the question of equality among men and women and I grew up with the best of education and atmosphere. Again, with determination and independence that seldom existed in our previous generations, I had a completely different view of my life partner. But I guess, this view only exists with the girls. The boys are still the same bcoz the earlier views give them more power or shall the say, the feeling of more power. And so here came clashes and with my views still intact I am still on the hunting spree :-)
